St. Matthias Music Ministry Mission Statement

     "The members of the St. Matthias music ministry strive to act as Witnesses to God’s word through song. In a spiritually and socially fulfilling atmosphere, we aim to deepen both our own and the congregation’s understanding of and connection to scripture. As liturgical leaders, we welcome the responsibility to assist our fellow parishioners in participating fully in the Eucharistic celebration."

Our pastor, Fr. Francis O'Brien, is a nationally acclaimed composer of liturgical music - we are often privileged to be the first musicians to perform his original compositions! All are welcome to join the music ministry, regardless of previous musical experience. All that is required is your enthusiasm, and a desire to strengthen your relationship to scripture through music. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
